Waxing Consent
To ensure the best results and your safety, please review and accept the following terms before booking your waxing service at Star-X Body Waxing and Skin Retreat:
Health & Medical Restrictions
By booking a waxing appointment, you confirm that:
• You do not have any active skin conditions (open wounds, severe acne, eczema, psoriasis, or sunburn) in the area to be waxed.
• You are not currently using any of the following medications:
- Accutane (must be off for at least 6 months before waxing).
- Retin-A, Differin, or other retinoids (must stop use at least 5-7 days before waxing).
- Strong antibiotics or blood thinners (please consult a doctor before booking).
• You have not had recent cosmetic treatments (chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, Botox, or fillers) in the area being waxed.
• If you have diabetes or circulatory issues, you understand that waxing may increase the risk of infection and agree to consult a doctor if necessary.
Pre-Waxing Requirements
• Hair must be at least 1/4 inch long (about the size of a grain of rice) for effective waxing.
• You agree to avoid tanning, sun exposure, or self-tanners at least 48 hours before your appointment to prevent skin sensitivity.
• You will not exfoliate harshly (using scrubs or chemical exfoliants) 48 hours before waxing.
• You will moisturize your skin daily leading up to your appointment to keep it hydrated and healthy.
Post-Waxing Care & Restrictions
For 24-48 hours after waxing, you agree to avoid:
• Hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, pools, or any activities that cause excessive sweating.
• Tight clothing that may cause irritation.
• Touching or picking at the waxed area to prevent bacteria from entering.
• Using deodorant, perfume, or any products containing active ingredients ( such as retinol, glycolic acid, or alcohol) on waxed skin to prevent irritation.
• Skipping moisturizer - keeping the skin hydrated helps prevent dryness and ingrown hairs.
